NY’s Young & Powerful Join NY Cares and P.A.L. for “Rockaway Beautification”

LIF-PHI-0004On Saturday, April 27th NY’s Young and Powerful will join forces with the NYC’s Police Athletic League (P.A.L.) and NY Cares for “Rockaway Beautification”. P.A.L. is a community center (in all 5 boroughs) that provides youth, teens and adults a broad array of activities such as art, dance, homework assistance, martial arts, and team sports. This community service event will provide an opportunity to participate in a day of community service and fun with the kids! Y&P volunteers will help create a mural project, participate in school clean-up, and other recreational activities. The purpose of this project is to help bring the Far Rockaway community together to create a colorful legacy on the walls of the Goldie Maple Academy. Far Rockaway, Queens was one of the areas hardest hit by Hurricane Sandy.

You can get to this P.A.L. location in Queens via the A Train. Depending on where you are coming from, it’s a bit of a commute, BUT it will be worth it!

To volunteer, please email ny@youngandpowerful.org ; subject title: “Rockaway Beautification”.

Add this event to your Calendar!
