The Chris Canty Foundation is hosting the Champions Golf Classic at the Alpine Country Club in Demarest, New Jersey on Monday, May 5. And, he’ll be hosting a Pre-Tournament Party on May 4th at Suite 36 in New York, NY.
All proceeds from the event will go toward programs supported and developed by the Chris Canty Foundation. The foundation exposes students in grades K-12 to educational programs, health and fitness activities, and community service projects.

In President Obama’s Inaugural address, he said that “it has been the risk-takers, doers, the makers of things… who have carried us up the long rugged path towards prosperity and freedom.” These words hit home for a group of New York City young professionals who were inspired to create, The Makers, a collective of individuals with the goal of serving as a conduit for “risk-takers, doers, and makers of things” to connect, interact and build with one another for the greater good. By hosting a series of intimate events with a highly selected group of professionals, each event includes Featured Makers who are accomplished experts in their fields for a conversation on topics including philanthropy, financial independence, entrepreneurship and more to add value and help push dreams toward successful reality.
Tap dancer extraordinaire, Savion Glover, model Melyssa Ford, and more than 200 young professionals gathered at Lexicon in New York City for the SIPS 4 Sickle Cell annual fundraising gala. SIPS for Sickle Cell is a non profit organization founded by Jennifer Goldson three years ago geared toward Supporting, Increasing Philanthropy and Spreading awareness (SIPS) of the needs of children afflicted with Sickle Cell Disease. SIPS in particular is focused on supporting the efforts of the Pediatric Comprehensive Sickle Cell Program at Cohen Children’s Medical Center, North Shore/LIJ in Long Island, New York. Funds at the event will benefit the comprehensive sickle cell program at Cohen Children’s Hospital.
On Thursday, February 28th, Haitian born philanthropist Fabrice Armand will host his 3rd Annual Haiti Cherie Birthday benefit at Broad Street Ballroom (located at 41 Broad Street) in New York City. Haiti Cherie is an annual fundraising event aimed at celebrating the beauty and resiliency of the Haitian culture.
