Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation (RPAF) raised $1.25 million at its annual ART FOR LIFE Benefit on July 16th at Fairview Farms in Bridgehampton, NY. Tap dancer extraordinaire, Savion Glover, model Melyssa Ford, and more than 200 young professionals gathered at Lexicon in New York City for the SIPS 4 Sickle Cell annual fundraising gala. SIPS for Sickle Cell is a non profit organization founded by Jennifer Goldson three years ago geared toward Supporting, Increasing Philanthropy and Spreading awareness (SIPS) of the needs of children afflicted with Sickle Cell Disease. SIPS in particular is focused on supporting the efforts of the Pediatric Comprehensive Sickle Cell Program at Cohen Children’s Medical Center, North Shore/LIJ in Long Island, New York. Funds at the event will benefit the comprehensive sickle cell program at Cohen Children’s Hospital.

SIPS for Sickle Cell (SIPS), a nonprofit organization commissioned to raise awareness and support for sickle cell disease, will host a pre-Valentine’s Day gala and silent auction to help impact the lives of children living with the disease.
The red carpet affair, scheduled for Wednesday, February 13 at Lexicon lounge in midtown Manhattan, will unite some of the city’s most notable people and organizations in music, medicine, business, art, politics and food including hosts Sylvia Rhone of Vested In Culture/Sony Music, Gwen Niles of Bad Boy, famed NYC radio’s Ebro Darden, Assemblyman Keith Wright, Councilwoman Inez Dickens, Chef Roble, Black Googlers Network, New York Urban League Young Professionals, Howard University School of Law Alumni Club, Dimensional Sports Inc., New York Super Bowl champion Antonio Pierce of Englewood Cliffs Cadillac, and Smile Design Gallery.
