We should all “Follow Suit”! Forgive the cheesy play on words, but I couldn’t help it… And indeed, we should all follow suit! The Suit Dreams Annual Suit Drive was held on April 5th brought in more than 500 suit and tuxedo donations to benefit high school seniors in New York City. The event was in partnership with Pynkberri which collected prom gowns through the event benefiting students in NYC and Baltimore, MD.
Suit Dreams will present its annual “Follow-Suit” event on April 5th from 6-11 at Greenhouse in New York City. This year, they’re partnering with the women of Pynkberri’s Project-Royalty Prom Drive. During the event, Pynkberri will be accepting Prom dresses for high school seniors from Baltimore, MD and New York City; while Suit Dreams will be collecting suits and tuxedos for young men in New York City.
Many high school students, living in an urban community don’t have access to the appropriate attire for Prom, Interviews, Internships and/or graduation. The reality is that the financial challenges that have plagued our nation do not allow many parents to provide their son or daughter with these essential items. The goal of this initiative is to leverage the resources of NYC’s leading young professionals to collect suit donations for this year’s Suit Dreams and Pynkberri’s students. Read The Rest
On Thursday, February 28th, Haitian born philanthropist Fabrice Armand will host his 3rd Annual Haiti Cherie Birthday benefit at Broad Street Ballroom (located at 41 Broad Street) in New York City. Haiti Cherie is an annual fundraising event aimed at celebrating the beauty and resiliency of the Haitian culture.
