London is getting lots of love! In an earlier post, we learned that will.i.am donated $800k for science programs in London through the Prince’s Trust. Today, a super sexy photo of Rihanna was posted online. In the photo, she wears a customized Red Nose Day Charity T-Shirt by Stella McCartney. To celebrate the launch of the official t-shirts for Red Nose Day 2013, Stella McCartney designed a limited number of custom versions, finished to feel and look like a well-loved, aged t-shirt. Only 25 were made, each is unique and features an iconic image of The Beatles, Tommy Cooper, Marilyn Monroe or Kate Moss.
Each piece is a unique collector’s item, sold exclusively at Stella McCartney’s London flagship stores.
When you buy a Red Nose Day T-shirt you are giving to a great and worthy charity,” Stella says. “I wanted to go one step further and get really personal, so I customised a limited number of the T-shirts. They take you one step closer to an individual piece; while you’re giving a bit more to Comic Relief, you’re receiving a bit more… so it all makes perfect sense!”
Red Nose Day is on Friday 15th March.
Funds raised through the Red Nose Day campaign, help give shelter to young people living on the streets and protection to those living with domestic abuse. In Africa, money saves thousands from malaria and provides whole communities with fresh water and life-saving vaccines.
On Friday, November 9th multi-platinum pop super star Rihanna sent a message to fans encouraging them to bring supplies her “Unapologetic” album release party at the 40/40 Club. The goods were then loaded onto a trunk as part of the Daily News Sandy Relief Drive that were delivered to city neighborhoods hard hit by Hurricane Sandy. The truck’s contents also included 1,000 sleeping bags provided by RiRi and 3,000 blankets from Modell’s Sporting Goods. Check out pics from the listening party and delivery to Beach 41st Sn Rockaway Beach below.
Now is the time for us to come together and do whatever we can to aid those in need. – Rihanna
