5th Annual Beauty and the Beat: Heroines of Excellence Awards (PICS)
Jon Quick isn’t just a DJ spinning your jam at a party or one of our favorite stations, WBLS 107.5.  He’s also a big man, Superhero to be exact, with the bigger picture in mind.  Each year, for the past 5th years, he has presented the ultimate party with a purpose, “Beauty and the Beat: Heroines of Excellence Awards” Fundraising Event in honor of National Women’s History Month.  He honors women of color who are rising stars within their professions.  On March 24th, he hosted the 5th Annual “Beauty and the Beat: Heroines of Excellence Awards” at Suite 36 emceed by Extra TV’s AJ Calloway.  Proceeds of the event benefited Hip Hop Loves Foundation and AJ Calloway’s Building the Bridge Foundation.
