The Chris Canty Foundation is hosting the Champions Golf Classic at the Alpine Country Club in Demarest, New Jersey on Monday, May 5. And, he’ll be hosting a Pre-Tournament Party on May 4th at Suite 36 in New York, NY.
All proceeds from the event will go toward programs supported and developed by the Chris Canty Foundation. The foundation exposes students in grades K-12 to educational programs, health and fitness activities, and community service projects.
“We have organized a great event that will benefit programs supported by the Chris Canty Foundation,” said Canty. “We are looking forward to having a lot of fun at the Champions Golf Classic and everyone’s participation will help improve the lives of young people in our community.”
Registration for the outing starts at 9:00 a.m. and the event begins at 10:30 a.m. Breakfast, lunch and a cocktail hour are scheduled during the day. The golf classic will feature:
- three Hole-in-One opportunities,
- a men’s and women’s Longest Drive Challenge
- a Closest-to-the-Pin Contest and
- a Putting Competition.
Chris Canty is a nine-year NFL veteran who played his first season with the Baltimore Ravens in 2013. Canty spent four years with the New York Giants and was a starter for their Super Bowl XLVI Championship team in 2011. Duke Castiglione, sports anchor for WNYW Fox 5 in New York, will serve as co-host for the Champions Golf Classic with Canty this year. Calcie Cooper, The Social Broker, will be the event producer.
Sports stars from the New York metro area will attend Champions Golf Classic this year. Past attendees include Giants players Hakeem Nicks, Chase Blackburn, Lawrence Tynes, Giants coach Tom Coughlin and former Knicks star John Starks, among others.
