For the third year in a row, MTV granted four incredible wishes for four very special girls on Sunday at the VMA. Grace Fulcher, Madison “Madi” Haggard, Sierra Mason (all 16) and Samantha Savioe (14) — spent four magical days behind the scenes of the awards show thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which grants wishes for kids living with serious medical conditions.
“In a very short amount of time, we were able to create an incredible four-day experience for these incredible girls, who are all going through tremendously difficult and uncertain times in their young lives,” said Matt McDonough, Senior Director, MTV Digital Strategy & Fan Engagement. These were wishes 18 through 22 for Matt says he’s been lucky enough to be a part of at MTV.
They were treated to a spectacular moment on the stage, their names in giant lights, VO announcing them as winners, and their very own mini-statuettes. They hung out with Halsey and The Chainsmokers after their rehearsal. They hung out at the Taco Bell preparty with cast members from Teen Wolf and Baddie Winkle. They got to hang out with Bebe Rexha after her performance. They met the gymnasts. They met Kim and Kanye. They met Britney. You guys, they even met Beyonce! I’ll say it again because they met Beyonce. One more time so it really sinks in, during her complex and choreographed red carpet entrance, BEYONCE stopped by, told them they looked beautiful, and shook their hands.
